Optimization for Indian Music and Other Ethnic Genres
Out of the 753 voices, the PSR-I455 dedicates a total of 19 for various Indian musical instruments. 23 out of the 206 built-in styles are perfect accompaniments for Indian music. Even more - the Arpeggio function consists of 12 distinctive Indian patterns.
Showcasing 16 patterns with five different sections, the PSR-I455 has added the sound of the electronic Tabla and Tanpura to its list of sounds like no other instrument. Tempo, transpose and balance for Tanpura / Tabla can be controlled in real-time by using the keyboard’s controller knobs.
In addition, there is a vast collection of voices and styles ranging from Mexican, Arabic, Brazilian, Chinese, and other genres. This portable keyboard is ideal for anyone as it embraces the diversity of ethnic music.
Raga practice songs
Another unique feature of the PSR-I455 is the ten different raga-mode practice songs – Bilawal, Khamaaj, Bhairav, Kalyan, Asavari, Kalyani, Hamsadhvani, Mohanam, Hindolam, and Sankarabharanam – which will prove highly useful in instrument or voice training.
Song mode—Record about ten songs with up to six tracks each.
Record up to ten songs, each with up to six tracks —five for melodies; one for styles and patterns. Combined, these tracks can be used to record approximately 19,000 notes. Also, approximately ten songs of this size can be recorded and stored in the keyboard itself.
USB TO DEVICE terminal makes it easy to store and recall data. Quick tool to save and load your own songs, as well as exchange data with a PC or another connected device.

The dynamic control of the instrument’s overall sound has about nine types of reverb, chorus, harmony, and five different types of master EQ to manipulate the final sound. Registration Memory can store up to 32 complete setups of your favorite PSR-I455 settings for easy recall whenever needed. A Freeze mode has been added for the Tabla and Tanpura to retain Style settings when you switch to a different Registration Memory.
